As many of our members may have heard, beginning in spring of 2014, LYSA/CSC will be operating parts of its parish-wide soccer program, which includes the Pius/Broussard area, on the new Youngsville Sports Complex which is currently in the final phases of construction.
“We have hundreds of children in our program from the southern parts of the parish, and we are excited about bringing our great soccer program, its outstanding staff, and our rich history to one of the thriving parts of the Parish,” said Executive Director Michael Ritch.
LYSA/CSC was honored to work alongside the Youngsville Mayor and Complex Director Tim Robicheaux, bringing over 35 years experience and expertise to help develop the complex’s soccer facilities from the start. On August 29th, LYSA/CSC submitted its formal proposal to Director Tim Robicheaux. Our organization’s proposal was selected above all others, and we began negotiating specifics with the city of Youngsville. Under negotiations and as a result of LYSA/CSC’s sensitivity to the citizens of Youngsville, we elected to use four of the complex’s six fields. LYSA/CSC will have access to the complex for tournaments and programming ranging from turf tykes, recreational, competitive, camps, player development clinics, and coaching education.
With more than 3,500 total players across all programs, more than 1,200 participants will benefit from the use of the Youngsville Sports Complex. LYSA/CSC is thrilled to be able to add more fields to help serve the growing demand for its programs across the parish.
In the coming weeks, LYSA/CSC will communicate with our families to answer all the questions about what this means for their child’s soccer experience. First and foremost, LYSA remains committed to operating the most professional soccer organization in the community with a focus on providing the players and families within the program the best experience possible.
As always, we appreciate your dedication and commitment to LYSA/CSC, and we look forward to growing together in the months and years to come.
