How do I register my child?
The easiest way to register is online; you can also make a payment with a debit/credit card. You can also register with a paper registration form and pay by check. All payments are due buy the registration deadline that is set for each season.

What does LYSA/CSC offer for soccer?
Recreational soccer plays two seasons per year and incorporates player ages 3 -17. Players register for each season individually
Fall Season: The fall season begins in mid September and runs through the beginning of November.
Spring Season: The spring season begins in mid February and ends in the beginning of April.
*LYSA/CSC offers a summer PL4Y session: The summer PL4Y session is a fun 4v4 format that allows players of all ages to get more touches on the ball, and it also helps players to dribble, and pass a little quicker. Session starts in June and ends in July. *Off July 4th week.

What about practice locations, frequency, and times?
Lafayette offers numerous public parks with soccer goals and most teams practice in their home area. Fields 11 - 27 at Moore Park are open for practices. Fields 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 6A, 6B, 6C at Youngsville Sports Complex are open for practices.These fields are available on a first come, first serve basis. Teams can practice once or twice per week, but are encouraged to limit that practice to 60 minutes.
What do I need for my child to play?
1. Shin Guards: They are mandatory and must be worn underneath the socks. The socks must cover the shin guard completely.
2. Appropriate footwear: Soccer cleats. Football and baseball cleats are NOT permitted.
3. Your child may NOT wear earrings and jewelry during the game. This includes "starter earrings".
4. All players are encouraged to bring a size 3, 4, or 5 soccer ball depending on age, and a labeled water bottle.
Do I need a uniform for my child?
Yes. The required LYSA/CSC nike uniform can be purchased at Third Coast Soccer on the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Johnston St.(3501 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy. 337-534-0281). The uniform will consist of (1) blue jersey and (1) white jersey for $33. Short (black or blue) and sock color is determined by coach/team.
When will I hear from my coach?
After the registration period is over, rosters will be formed. Once rosters are completed the coaches who volunteered in Blue Sombrero will be given a date for a coaches meeting. The coach will receive his/her roster on this date. The coaches are instructed to begin calling parents soon after.
It Rained! What happens to my game?
All games not played on the scheduled date due to rain will be moved by LYSA/CSC staff to a new date and time. All Games will be made up if cancelled due to rain. (Rainouts are not reschedule requests)
How will I know if the fields are closed for practice/games?
LYSA will notify all members through email, or the new rainouted out messaging system about park closures and game cancellations. All social media, as well as the lysasoccer.com website will be updated with the park status. The call on fields for Moore Park are made around 3pm. Youngsville Sports Complex will make the call on park closures for YSC.
